When my daughter, Ivy, was a baby, I made her a quilt and matching patchwork teddy bear that she named “Cuddles.” After many washes and mendings, Cuddles looked very well-loved.
It is twenty-five years later, and I have just finished a new baby quilt and matching bear for my soon-to-be grandson. My heart is filled with joy at the thought of creating a family tradition by giving the gift of hand-made love to a new generation.
